HORLICKS SALES DEPLETION ACTIVITY

Objective

Aggressive depletion of Horlicks Chocolate and Horlicks Original and awareness creation pan-Nigeria via Direct-to-consumer sales & reward consumers for purchase and influence loyalty

Use activity to increase awareness for Horlicks chocolate among contacted consumers and also encourage consumers to restock from nearby retail stores so as to increase off-take at retail post activation

A target of 50,000 Horlicks jars to be sold off during activation.

Activity/Task

Deployed sales canvassers with a mechanic 1 free jar for every two purchased for individuals in homes and a graduated incentive of as much as a 50kg bag of rice for 15 cartons purchased in Trade.

Outcome

  • Sold 57,024 jars in three months duration of activation (i.e over 9,500 cases)
  • Knocked on and sold into over 5,000 homes across coverage area in the West and North
